Today I learned that jellyfish don't have bones, a heart or a brain but do have a complex nerve net. Apparently they're more in the family of the coral. Wow. I took some freedom here but I swear I was staring at a jellyfish image! All in all I find myself getting more and more attracted to the sea life.

When I find a creature from the sea like the Portuguese man-of-war, it makes me stop and look in amazement at the incredible, exquisite beauty that nature can create. Furthermore, I wonder why we should try to recreate its image through painting if it exists in photographs for us to admire as they truly are. However, seeing the photographs of Aaron Ansarov in National Geographic today made my jaw drop. I had to grab my watercolors, not to recreate its image so much, but more so to learn from its seamlessness.
